Terms of Use
This is a plain-language summary of how this site can be used, written to be actually read — it isn't legal advice, and it isn't written by a lawyer. 100jacks is run by an independent developer based in Ontario, Canada. Using the site means you accept what's on this page.
Free, as-is, no warranty
Every tool on this site is free to use. It's provided as-is, with no guarantee that it's accurate, available whenever you need it, or fit for any particular purpose. These are small, informally-maintained utilities, not a supported product with an uptime commitment.
Don't rely on these for anything that matters
The tools here are informal, for-fun utilities. Nobody should treat a result from a browser tool on this site as the basis for a medical, legal, financial, safety or other professional decision. If it matters, check it against a real source or a qualified person.
Don't enter anything private or sensitive
Tool data is processed in your browser rather than uploaded — see the privacy page for exactly what that does and doesn't mean. But that's not the same as a guarantee of safekeeping: browser storage like localStorageis not encrypted, a shared or public computer keeps whatever it holds until someone clears it, and no website should be treated as a vault. So don't type in passwords, private keys, personal data, or anything else you'd call confidential.
No liability
To the extent permitted by law, no responsibility is accepted for any loss or damage arising from using this site — including lost data, a result that turns out to be wrong, or the site being unavailable when you needed it.
Tools change and disappear
Tools may be added, changed or removed at any time, without notice. Saved results — including anything kept in your browser's localStorage or in an account — may not be preserved forever.
Accounts are optional
Signing in is never required to use a tool; it only adds the ability to save results. Accounts can be removed. Abusing the site or its endpoints — scraping, hammering a tool with automated requests, or other automated abuse — may get your access blocked.
Acceptable use
Don't use this site unlawfully or to harm others. That's the whole rule.
Advertising
The tools are free, and advertising is what pays for the site. Ads are served by Google and, in some cases, other third-party vendors — which means the ads you see are chosen by them, not by us, and an ad appearing here isn't a recommendation or an endorsement of whatever it's selling. We take no responsibility for advertisers, their products, or the sites their ads lead to. How ad cookies work, and how to turn personalised ads off, is set out on the privacy page. Don't try to interfere with the ads on this site — clicking your own or anyone else's ads artificially, or using scripts to generate impressions, breaks the rules we're held to and may get your access blocked.
Other sites and services
Some things here are run by other people. Sign-in is handled by Clerk, visitor numbers are counted using Google Analytics, which sets a cookie in your browser so that return visits are recognised, advertising is served by Google as described above, and some pages link out to other sites — including our own wheel spinner at wheelzify.com. Those services have their own terms and their own privacy practices, and this page can't speak for them. Following a link off this site means those terms apply, not these.
Use it, but don't take it
Use the tools as much as you like, personally or at work, no permission needed and no attribution asked for. What isn't on offer is the site itself: the name, the design, the written guides and the code behind the tools stay ours. Don't republish them as your own or pass off a copy of this site as something you made.
These terms can change
This page may be updated as the site changes. There's no mailing list to notify you, so the version you're reading is the one that applies. If a change is significant — a tool starting to send data somewhere, for instance — it lands here and on the privacy page in the same update that makes it true, not afterwards.
If part of this doesn't hold
If any part of this page turns out to be unenforceable where you live, treat that part as removed and the rest as still standing. Wherever you are, local law may give you rights that a page like this can't sign away — nothing here is meant to remove them, and where they conflict, your rights win.
Which law applies
The site is operated from Ontario, Canada, and these terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply there. This doesn't take away consumer rights you have where you live — see the section above.
Getting in touch
Questions, complaints, takedown requests, security reports and anything else go to [email protected], or see the contact page.
The short version
These are small utilities and games, made for fun and for everyday convenience. Use them with a bit of caution, don't put anything confidential into them, don't bet anything important on what they tell you, and understand that they come with no warranty and no liability attached. If that's not acceptable to you, the right move is simply not to use the site.
